1. Think About No-Contract Deal
While it’s true that you can save up to hundreds on a new smartphone if you sign up for a contract deal, you can actually save more if you opt for a no-contract deal and pay the price of the phone in upfront and in full. Though you’ll have to cough up more cash up front, in some cases you can save in the long run. Since your business is not locked into an agreement, you won’t have to pay any penalties if ever you decide to switch providers. If you can’t afford to pay the phone’s full price upfront, you can pay it off in instalments as some carriers offer no-interest payment plans.

2. Use Free Apps for Calls & Texts
Consider using free apps instead of using your network every time you make a call or send a message. Skype, Google Voice and Apple’s FaceTime apps don’t count against your phone plan minutes since they are internet-based. Apps like WhatsApp, Apple’s iMessage, and Text+ allow you to send or receive text messages for free.

3. Use WiFi
When you are in the office have everyone connect their phones to the wifi. Video streaming and file download over a cellular network uses a large amount of data. Just make sure that your bandwidth is sustainable for the number of staff that will be connect tot he wifi.

4. Be Aware Of Roaming
If you travel a lot look into your roaming charges and network coverage in the countries you visit the most. Not all carriers are created equal when it comes to international roaming charges and you may have specific plans for frequent jet-setters to help your business cut the costs of international roaming and hotspotting from mobile devices while travelling.
